The Life Drawing Group, which meets once a week  from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Quinault Auditorium, needs models for any week. We can help and train you by telephone, in a short time before a session, or as the session proceeds. Join the group to learn life drawing and do sketches of people by any medium, or to volunteer 45 minutes or 1 and 1/2 hours for this worthwhile endeavor. Any person can be a model. You can read, knit, lie down and nap, sit and stare, kick the wall, stand on your head, play a musical instrument, sing, bring props, or just do poses that we give you. We can concentrate on eyes, ears, feet. You can use your walker or wheelchair or motorized chair. All ages are welcome, and we can accommodate anyone's needs. You might be able to go home with a sketch of yourself that you can frame. Call Martha Trupp 5913.

If it's almost Halloween, that means Christmas is just around the corner!  The good news is that Santa's Shop is returning this year in a new venue!  On Saturday, December 4, we'll open the Annex and Stiles-Beach Barn to residents, staff and their families, and to Panorama's neighbors.  In addition to the Christmas lights, wreaths, trees, decorations, and gift items that will be available, the elves have been busy making beautiful holiday centerpieces.  Shopping will be from 9 am to 2 pm.  The first hour, from 9 to 10 am, is limited to residents using walkers, canes, and wheelchairs and those needing caregivers to assist them.

If you have Christmas items to donate for the sale, please bring them to the Barn any Monday, Wednesday, or Friday from 9 to 11:30 am, or call the Front Desk (0) to arrange for a pick-up.

Santa Needs a Helper!

The beautiful centerpieces being crafted for Santa's Shop need finishing touches. If you can make fancy bows, Santa needs you!  We'll supply the ribbon if you have time to help.  Please contact Roxanne Cobb at 5513 or Kathy Kidwell at 5294.

The Uncomfortable Truth with Loki Mulholland (Zoom Webinar)

Thursday | October 28th | 1:30pm

The history of race and racism in America is one that is rarely told. It’s a past based on myths that have become facts in the minds of many. The Uncomfortable Truth explores the history of racism in America through one family’s journey… one family that helped start it all and is now trying to end it. Loki Mulholland is an Emmy-winning filmmaker, author, activist and son of civil rights icon, Joan Trumpauer Mulholland. He speaks all over the country on issues of race and racism in America and is the founder and Executive Director of the Joan Trumpauer Mulholland Foundation which was created to end racism through education. This presentation was made possible by the Lifestyle Enrichment Department and the generous donations made to the Office of Philanthropy.

During the Benevolent Fund webinar, on the future of the Patio Sale, the question came up about how to access the Facebook Marketplace to see what was being offered for sale online..  Residents who wish to shop online can access the Benevolent Fund site by taking the following steps.

Google “FACEBOOK MARKETPLACE”.

Once you are on the Marketplace type “SHOPS AT PANORAMA” in the Search Marketplace box.

This will get you to the place to see what Encore and the Barn are selling online.
