Non-Denominational Service
Clergy activity at Panorama is formally known as “non-denominational worship service” Some residents may be acquainted with the more familiar term “Vespers” which is no longer in use. The more common term used is simply “Panorama Clergy” which is an identifier for individuals who have taken on the role of providing services in the Quinault Chapel. Those delivering the message are retired ordained ministers or lay individuals who have expressed an interest in delivering a Christian message. Communion is held every third Sunday. Attendance varies but averages about 25-30 worshipers at each service.
Chapel services are held every Sunday beginning at 3:00 PM, Length of service varies with the presenter but usually last 40 to 45 minutes. Music is provided by a volunteer, generally on the provided piano. Song books are provided so all can participate if they wish. The chapel is located on the fourth floor of the Quinault Apartment Building.
Saturday morning worship is provided at the C&R beginning at 10:AM with the gathering in the dining room on the second floor. Music is provided by a volunteer using a keyboard and the service is less structured than that held at the Quinault Chapel. Biblical stories and other topics of a Christian nature are a popular resource for delivery to the C&R residents Song books or song sheets are handed out and those attending are encouraged to participate. The length of the service is usually thirty minutes with 12 to 14 attending.
